The Beauty of Permanent Makeup

The history of permanent makeup

Picture
The procedures pertaining to permanent makeup were first seen around the beginning of the 20th century. In the early 1930s; tattoo artist George Burchett laid the foundation for the process of applying tattooed permanent eyeliner, lip liner, eyebrows and less noticeable applications. Burchett is considered to be the forerunner in this field.  He figured out how to use dyes derived from vegetables and to Inject the dye into the immediate top layers of the skin in order to create a better complexion for those who desired it.

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is also known by several other terms, such as micro pigmentation, derma-pigmentation, permanent cosmetics and cosmetic tattooing. The last name is perhaps the most appropriate, because, in the simplest of terms, permanent makeup is a technique which is entirely cosmetic and uses a modified version of tattooing. Tattoos are a method by which the dermis is pigmented, and the results are permanent. This tattooing method is used to enhance the appearance of the face, in particular, the lips, eyebrows, and eyelids.

This method can be used to create eyebrows, particularly for people who might have lost them due to trauma, age, chemo-therapy or alopecia totalis. The same method can also be used to cover scars or cuts that might have appeared in the existing eyebrows.  For those who have suffered from vitiligo, (a disease where the pigment cells of the skin are destroyed in certain areas and white patches have become very evident), the option of permanent pigmentation through tattooing is extremely welcome. Vitilgo can appear anywhere on the body, but hands and face creates the most anxiety where persons consider treatment, and another related procedure might be the redefinition of the areola for women.

Shear Convenience Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup, medicinally known as micropigmentation, is the exact position of shading into the skin. Through little needles, varying shades of iron oxide colors are set into the more profound bit of the skin, known as the dermis. The exact situation of needle sticks makes many passages into the skin, in turn creating and conveying the shaded colors alongside each needle stick.

Hair and How To Donate Your Own Newly Cut Locks to Benefit Cancer Victims

Picture

Last year my son had reached the point where he knew it was time to cut his hair and gather it for donation into the system where it could be transformed into a wig for cancer patients who had lost their hair to chemo and radiation treatments.  I’m not kidding, he was both distraught at giving up his hair like Sampson was, and he was also ecstatic at giving his locks to someone who would need and appreciate the hair.

There are ‘on-the-go’ people who often don’t have the time to frequent a hairstyling salon, and there are people who are not mobile enough to always get out and have a comforting visit to the salon, so they do the next best thing (some might say better), and they arrange for the hairdresser to come to them. Disabilities, whether permanent or caused by a recent accident or illness and requiring a lengthy recovery time have discovered the mobile haircutting and spa services and a way to enjoy being pampered at home or in their recovery and living location.  Transportation is no longer an issue and hair, makeup and manicures are in the control of the person wanting personal services.
